Good fights are great.
Me, as a newbee to EVE, had just one of those tonight.
I was busy hunting a duo of ratting frigates that had been eluding me several times.
Docked, grabbed a sensor booster and ditched my web since I felt I could pop em both without it.
I used my MWD numerous times trying to keep up with them (bastards still managed to escape my scrams - nerf stabs  ) and my cap was at 50% so I decided to head for a nearby planet so I could keep an eye on them wherever they would run to.
There, whilst recharging my cap, I got jumped by a Rifter and a Punisher, later followed by a Ishtar.
Since I had no web, the frigs were eating me slowly and were making my hits far from perfect, even more so for being older by months in game terms thus having far better skill for piracy and manouvring than me.
The fight was great, I managed to stay alive long, but I still popped in the end - as I expected.
Afterwards I got convoed and congratulated by these assailants for a good fight and - to my surprise - they refunded my Thorax.
To Flyit and Ohji - respect, this is exactly what makes EVE wonderful, no matter what you lose or win.
No smack, just good aftermath and friendly convoes.
This game rocks.

These guys sort of rewarded me for a good fight.
And whats a few ISKies for long term players?

No I meant Ishtar - the Vexor type ship.
I initially chased 2 frigates - Tristans and later I got attacked by a Punisher and Rifter, followed by an Ishtar.
I wrote that clearly in the original post??

Nice to see someone share a GF-story, that was the reason I posted this thread - to hear from others what they experienced (instead of comments about post details  )

Hi Ohji, nice to see you place a comment here.
Should we meet next time, ill be fitted more suitably.
No sensor booster, but a named webber so you can profit less from that speed tank.
Im also working on upgrading my tank and drone skill, so be ready for a more intense struggle than before.
